Giaele Ronchi is an Italian actress, writer and filmmaker based in New York. Trained at the New York Film Academy, she brings a thoughtful, emotionally grounded approach to every role and creative collaboration. Her work spans independent film, theatre, live comedy and digital productions, both in front of and behind the camera. Drawn to complex characters and intimate storytelling, Giaele is especially interested in projects that invite audiences to see familiar experiences from a new point of view.

Inspired by Beauty and the Beast, A Captive Mind is an experimental short film that follows Belle, a young woman isolated in a tower who copes with captivity by speaking to ordinary objects she imagines as companions. As reality sets in, she realizes that what she believed was love is actually a psychological dependency born from isolation.
